I don't want you all to forget to go use the $5 off $20 purchase coupon at Walgreens today! This would be especially effective on something like diapers or formula since those things tend to cost quite a bit anyhow. If you have formula checks, you can maximize your savings! C's formula usually cost just over $15 (she's on one of those special types, and only comes in the small containers). She's in need of 3 or 4. So I'm going to go ahead and get 2 of them from Walgreens today and use the $5 off plus a couple of $1 formula checks that I have left on each giving me savings of $7. So I'd really be getting both for less than $25! (normally I buy her formula at Walmart because it's cheaper - but not $5 cheaper, so I'll be picking up a couple at Walgreens today) Note that the coupon is for a purchase of $20 after coupons and discounts. Formula checks however are like money - not coupons - so you can maximize your savings with this. Sometimes you'll get Register Rewards for buying formula. So that would be awesome to see that, too!
Think about other ways you could make this work for you. I made a splurge for my girls the other day. They had these huge boxes of either Disney Princess or Pixar Cars cookies. The box looks similar to a cardboard book and will probably be near the registers. Those were 2/$5 so maybe if you were spending $20 anyway, you could throw in something for $5 and get it all for only $20. You can either count your discount or you can throw in a splurge. Fun, eh?
I'm kind of bummed because I totally spent about $20 there just two days ago. It would have been nice to use this coupon. At least I'm in need of some other things.
