prepaid phones

I'm trying to research some prepaid cell phone services but I really value what users have to say. Do you own a prepaid phone? Tell me about it. Which service do you think I should go with if I were to get one? My husband and I are actually thinking of getting one for each of us and so it would be really awesome if they could interact with each other for free. haha
